Coyne Airways launches second weekly Boeing 747-400F to Tbilisi; AirBridgeCargo launches new Milan - Moscow flight.

Coyne Airways has added a second weekly Boeing 747-400 freighter service to its hub in Tbilisi, effective yesterday.

In addition to its existing flight every Monday from London Stansted and Cologne to Tbilisi, Coyne has signed an agreement with Jade Cargo for further B747-400 capacity every Wednesday from Frankfurt to the Georgian capital.

Coyne will offer trucking connections throughout continental Europe as well as the UK.

The new flight departs Frankfurt at 23h00 and arrives in Tbilisi at 05h00 local time, allowing freight to be cleared in Tbilisi and trucked to Yerevan in Armenia and Baku in Azerbaijan before the weekend.

Coyne launched its first B747F service to Tbilisi in December 2006. Coyne's Caspian network has just increased further with new services from Tbilisi to Ashgabat and Turkmenbashi in Turkmenistan.

According to CEO Larry Coyne, operating from Frankfurt allows quicker connections from Coyne's interline partners flying from North America, enabling cargo from the US arriving in Frankfurt on Tuesday evening to connect with Coyne's next-day departure to Tbilisi.

AirBridgeCargo Airlines has expanded its freighter services from Europe to Russia with a new route between Milan, Italy and Moscow.

The Boeing 747 freighter will depart Malpensa Airport for Moscow every Monday and Friday as an extension of the airline's Amsterdam service, and provides further flight over Moscow to the Chinese cities of Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong.

In Moscow, AirBridgeCargo offers its customers the choice of delivering cargo to two out of three warehouses: Sheremetyevo 1 and Sheremetyevo 2.

ABC currently operates 31 flights a week to and from Moscow's Sheremetyevo and Domodedovo airports, linking Frankfurt, Amsterdam, Budapest and Zaragoza with Beijing, Shanghai, Narita and Hong Kong. The airline also operates scheduled all-cargo services to Krasnoyarsk in Russia.

ABC has appointed Kales GSA as its general sales agent in Italy, and SEA to provide cargo handling at Aeroporti di Milano.
